— The Formats

Three of our most loved formats

A preview from the catalog — each format profiled with its actives, its texture and the skin it suits best.

Moisturizing cream tubes arranged for daily skincare 01 / Format The Daily Ritual

Moisturizing Cream

Humectants & emollients · daily hydrator

The cornerstone. Humectants pull in water, emollients smooth the space between cells, occlusives seal the deal — three jobs in one jar, done twice a day. Every other format in this guide is a variation on the theme it set.

A jar of rich pink night cream on a textured background 02 / Format The Overnight Shift

Night Cream

Rich emollients · overnight replenisher

The overnight shift. Skin loses more water while you sleep and runs its repair cycle hardest after dark, so night creams answer with richer butters and lipids. The format that turns eight horizontal hours into the most productive part of a routine.

Whipped shea butter, the base of rich body butters 03 / Format The Deep Feed

Body Butter

Shea & cocoa butters · rich emollients

The deep feed. Whipped shea and cocoa butters are the richest thing this side of a spa — dense enough to last through a winter day, soft enough to sink in overnight. The format dry shins, elbows and heels quietly hope for.

— Our Standard

Why skin people trust our guide

We are a small team of twice-daily moisturizers, formulators-at-heart and label readers. This guide exists because good cream knowledge should be careful, generous and free.

01

Every format, skin-tested

Nothing enters these pages untried. Each format is worn by our team across real weeks — dry winters, humid summers, long flights — before it earns a description here.

02

Ingredients explained, plainly

Ceramides versus butters, hyaluronic versus glycerin: we translate what the label means into plain language — what it does, how it feels, who it suits.

03

Written by daily moisturizers

Our authors have kept a twice-daily routine through every season and skin mood alike. Every note reflects skin in the real world: alarm clocks, office air and hurried evenings included.

04

Education first, always

This site is a library, not a storefront. We describe formats informationally so anyone can understand their cream — before they shop anywhere at all.

Well-kept skin is mostly water and patience, sealed in twice a day by a jar that knows its job.

— Cream Notes

From our cream journal

Short, practical entries from the bathroom shelf — the habits that keep the ritual honest and skin comfortable.

Application

The damp-skin rule

Apply cream to skin that is still slightly damp from cleansing. Water is the ingredient the jar cannot give you; sealing in what is already there is half the work.

Order

Thinnest first, richest last

Serum before cream, cream before oil, SPF last in the morning and nowhere at night. Layering in order of weight keeps every formula from fighting the one above it.

Amount

The pea-size economy

Eye cream is a pea; face cream is a coin; body is a matter of honesty. More product does not mean more benefit — it means a shiny forehead and an empty jar.
